Last week my class did the last story in our anthology: Frog and Toad. This little guy is a part of my "Let's Get Hoppin' With Frogs and Toads" unit that is available in my Tpt store. Check it out! Splatter painting the body is sooo fun! By the way, my buddy made tan ones for toads...soooo cute! http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Lets-Get-Hoppin-With-Frogs-and-Toads
My formal observation is done! Yay! My kiddos were awesome! I told them the principal was coming to watch them. Teehee! I read "The Earth and I" then used Rick Morris' cards(love these) to assign partners for reading. I LOVE partner reading! They are so cute! After partner reading, we did a Promethean Board activity and sorted pictures of things that are good/bad for the Earth...followed this with an Earth Day writing activity from my TpT store! Cuteness galore! I will post some of them when they are finished.
My new product, "The Hanging Hero" is now available in my tpt store. Check it out! I can't believe the amount of time this little tool saves when I'm hanging student work and art for display! The Hero has two pins embedded in the horizontal arms so you can pin it to the wall after using the attached level to guarantee it's straight. Staple your first four papers, pull the hero out, and move on to the next two papers. The Hanging Hero is made from durable, lightweight PVC and is engineered to provide perfectly spaced, straight displays! Woohoo!
WOW! Hubby and I went to the flower fields in Carlsbad yesterday. What a gorgeous day...what gorgeous flowers! I couldn't stop taking pictures! Check it out!
This tractor is powered by steam and gas! Very cool!
I've been a first grade teacher for 19 years. I started teaching when I was 21. I really don't think my class learned a darn thing that year! I was a lucky duck that stayed home with my two kids for 7 years! That was a long time ago, by the way. I've been married 30 years...how is that possible! My hubby is very supportive of the teacher in me. When I interviewed for the job I have now he told me to tell them I am a 24 hour a day teacher. You know what I mean...it's ALWAYS on my mind!
