I am craaaazy about these color puppets and so are my firsties! Not kidding...each day they come in asking what puppet they will do. Each puppet has a poem to learn! Great practice for reading and rhyming! I use them at the beginning of the year in first but they would be awesome for the end of year kinders. Each puppet is on a brightly colored straw to make it easy to handle (you can use craft sticks to be cheaper). Did you notice the monkey is upside down? Intriguing isn't it:-) http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Reading-and-Rhyming-with-Colors-and-Critters
I've been a first grade teacher for 19 years. I started teaching when I was 21. I really don't think my class learned a darn thing that year! I was a lucky duck that stayed home with my two kids for 7 years! That was a long time ago, by the way. I've been married 30 years...how is that possible! My hubby is very supportive of the teacher in me. When I interviewed for the job I have now he told me to tell them I am a 24 hour a day teacher. You know what I mean...it's ALWAYS on my mind! I'm curious about the monkey. You can't just leave us hanging. Surely there is a story behind it. lol They are really cute!

Haha! The monkey/color poem has him upside down:-) The poems are what makes the puppets unique:-)
