I'm trying to get sympathy from the hubby cuz I have to work tomorrow. Somehow he doesn't feel my pain! Haha! Must have something to do with the fact that he works every day all year long. Sounds dreadful!! One thing I love about our job is we have a beginning and an end. It's always new every September:-)
Almost time for Big Brother! Yep, I'm a sucker for reality TV. Have a fab week!

Hi...I just found your blog and am now a follower. I'd love for you to visit back and check out my blog (and enter my giveaway, if you'd like).

Adventures In Teaching
Hi Amy:-) Thanks for stopping by. I will go check out your blog now:-) Deana
ReplyDeleteDeana,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very cute. If it isn't cute, it isn't worth doing is what I usually think. :)
Hey, I totally had to splurge and get all purple tubs for D5 from Really Good Stuff. We have big classes, too (30ish) but I wanted them so badly and didn't want to have to buy new cardboard bookboxes every year when they got beat up. However, now you can get even better tubs from Target's Dollar Spot. They're $2.50 each and you may need to search a bunch in your area to collect all that you need. Check out my post and see the pics. I bought them so I could organize my mentor texts for writing, comprehension, etc...
I'm your new follower. C'mon over for a visit. :)

Teaching Fabulous Firsties!
Hey Corinna:-) I think I am going to have to suck it up and get the tubs from Really Good Stuff too. I tried a few Targets and they either have none or just a few. Teaching is an expensive job! I'll head over to your blog now:-)
ReplyDeleteWe're doing CGI as a team this school year - I'm excited to hear that you're also doing it! Can't wait to hear what you think!
ReplyDeleteDo you live near an Ikea? They sell white, cardboard magazine files 5 for $1.99. (They usually have colorful ones, but not this year. :( ) So I'm just going to have my kiddos decorate them. I buy my book boxes there every year and it works out great! You need to take a little time to show them how *not* to hold them, but for that price, I think it's worth it! Good luck!!

Second Grade Sparkle
Hey Kate! Thanks for stopping by:-) I will check out the Ikea magazine files. I was concerned that they wouldn't last the year. I'm also considering putting their books in a ziploc and keeping them in a bin or in their desks. It would take up less space.
